John C. Fremont Hospital, a Small General Hospital licensed for 24 beds, opened its doors
John C. Fremont Hospital Volunteers founded
1960s
Ewing Wing, a 10 bed skilled nursing facility, added
1970s
Designated as a General Acute Care Hospital
1980s
John C. Fremont Hospital Foundation established
Emergency Room staffed with in-house physicians. General practice and specialty clinics established
Added Physical Therapy, Respiratory Care, Social Services, and Standby Emergency services
Home Health Agency established
1990s
Emergency department expanded, new clinic built and opened in 1992, heliport pad enlarged, surgery reopened
Name change to John C. Fremont Healthcare District (JCFHD)
Hospice care added
Began providing medical and dietary services to Mariposa County Adult Detention Facility
2000s
Mariposa voters approve a half percent sales tax increase for sole use of JCFHD
Approved as a Critical Access Hospital (CAH)
Endoscopy Services added
Cat Scan (CT) purchased and installed with help of Foundation donations
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program initiated
Private Duty and Lifeline services added
2005
Expanded clinical services Rural Health Clinic II opened to accommodate increase in Specialty Physicians
2007
MRI service added
Opened third clinic - Northside Clinic (Greeley Hill)
2008
State of the Art, Digital Mammography equipment added
2010
New Toshiba 16-slice CT installed, partially funded by JCFHF
2011
